Soybeans Respond to Seed Treatment

Seed treatment trials at the 2007 Syngenta Learning Centers showed that using a CruiserMaxx™ Beans insecticide/fungicide brand seed treatment product to protect soybeans at planting increased stand an average 1,500 plants/A and boosted yield an average 2 bu/A. With soybean prices hovering around $13/bu, that’s a potential average revenue increase of $26/A. Additional Syngenta research in large block trials shows an average yield increase of 5.5 bu/A with CruiserMaxx Beans seed treatment.

In this photo from the York, Neb., Syngenta Learning Center, CruiserMaxx Beans seed treatment visibly improved plant vigor early in the season. The combination of early season insect and disease protection supports faster emergence, improved plant stands, earlier canopy, higher quality and higher yield potential.
