Having trouble controlling Italian ryegrass?

Though growers in Mississippi have been combating glyphosate-resistant Italian ryegrass for a couple of years, growers in other areas of the South now seem to be experiencing difficulty in controlling this troublesome weed. In a recent conversation, a Syngenta sales rep in western North Carolina shared that he has a grower that has seen difficulty controlling Italian ryegrass with his glyphosate this season.

The grass pictured above received 30 oz. of Touchdown Total®. In addition to 30 oz. of Touchdown Total, the field below received a 3x application of Roundup PowerMax®.
