Retailers Believe Growers Will Implement Resistance Management Strategies

According to field reports, glyphosate-resistant giant ragweed is being investigated in Minnesota, lambsquarters is suspected resistant in North Dakota, and other states are watching closely for additional signs of resistance, thus demonstrating the scope of glyphosate-resistant weed pressure throughout the country.  A recent poll conducted by CropLife eNews showed that the majority of retailers feel their growers will be implementing resistance management practices recommended by glyphosate manufacturers as a result of this trend and conditions they’ve seen locally.

Which of the following would you be most likely to implement in reaction to the growing spread of glyphosate-resistant weeds?

Rotate to other herbicide modes of action

  • Use tillage
  • Use additional herbicides in a tankmix
  • Other
  • No change
